This Prophet Wars entry turns to Nahum and the city of blood. Ammon Hillman reads the oracle the way the series reads everything else, as a prophet pulling past and future into one present, and the command at the center is musical: tune the string, harmosai khordēn (ἅρμοσαι χορδήν), from the verb harmozō (ἁρμόζω), to harmonize or tune. The whip, the charging horses, and the lightning are gathered into the same image, and the voice demanding judgment is addressed to the city that cannot wash the blood away.
Then comes Babylon the Great, the porne kale (πόρνη καλή), with mystērion (μυστήριον) written on her forehead. She leads the nations with her pharmakon (φάρμακον) and her porneia (πορνεία), and the show presses the pair the way a formula: the water of life is produced through her sex and her drugs together, because the body is the processor. No factory replaces her, in this account, and the great porne is the priestess whose rite makes the initiate able to see.
The last movements follow Elizabeth and John. Elizabeth stands with hands raised, shouting hymns, and John leaves the mother’s breast and the swaddling, the sparganon (σπάργανον), and goes into the void. The Levitical priesthood is named as mystagogues who keep the divine songs, and the episode closes the loop by calling the Spirit a lady, Sophia (Σοφία), later flattened into a ghost.
