The episode is built around a letter from a Christian who says he is afraid for the host’s soul, and around the reply. Ammon Hillman reads the note, which says he once served Jesus and was told in the Garden of Jezebel by certain men that a troop of demons would help bring the antichrist to fruit, and it asks whether he ever wonders if they were right. His answer repeats the public-park arrest claim as something he does not doubt, and then frames the crusade as the cure for what the letter represents.
The hour then plays Billy Graham saying the comforter comes from a Greek word meaning advocate, and then saying, almost in the same breath, that he is not a Greek scholar and that there are mistranslations in the authorized version. The show calls that little bend the whole disease. From there it moves to Greek it says was written around the same time Jesus lived. It reads a passage on the eighth spirit and its wandering, planē (πλάνη), and its image-making, phantasia (φαντασία), and it links the word behind the comforter, the helper called alongside, to the same idea of a spirit summoned for a fight.
The closing claims land on a figure named at the very end, Crocodike, described in the text as a pharmakis (φαρμακίς), a worker of drugs, who puts roots that bring forgetfulness and sleep into the wine of her father’s army and, for love of the enemy, leaves the men half dead. It returns once more to John 3:16, where the show says the phrase for eternal life is not about never-ending time but about aiōnios (αἰώνιος), life belonging to an aion. The hour calls this the real Christianity, then closes on the three announced cities and the crusade.
