Ammon Hillman then reads Diotimus, a fourth-century-before-Jesus source, naming Phosphoros (φωσφόρος), the light-bringer, as the Savior, the same figure later called Lucifer, with Artemis standing beside that title. The claim the show draws from this is blunt: the saving light-bringer was already worshipped as the devil-huntress centuries before there was a Judaism or a Christianity, and the later religions took the title from the pagans.
Then the episode reads the Testament of Abraham, a second-century Greek work, as a death cult’s story. Death, Thanatos (θάνατος), follows Abraham home and stands at his feet, refusing to leave until she takes his breath, his pneuma (πνεῦμα). The episode highlights the word phlox (φλόξ), a flame that the ancient Hebrew cannot carry: in the Greek of Genesis a phlox appears beside the smoking fire-pot and the burning torches, but the Hebrew back-translation drops the term because its seven-thousand-word stock cannot hold it. Death is then read as one of the daughters of Helios, the solar line of the Arianoi who call themselves the Medes, and the echidna is named a nymph who is ageraos (ἀγήραος), ageless, her corruption blamed in the series on Heracles.
