Video Description
The third entry in the series made for Danny Jones starts far from the monster stories. It opens in Alexandria around 300 BC, when the librarian Callimachus catalogued Greek literature in the work called the Pinakes. The episode keeps coming back to that one number: 120 books of Greek authors and works, and zero books of Hebrew. The point pressed is that the written world of the time was Greek, and the Hebrew shelf was added to the story later.
Then the climax arrives near the end of the stream. The Latin name Lucifer is read as the morning star, and the claim is that this figure has been borrowed from the Greek Phosphoros (Φωσφόρος) and Heosphoros (Ἑωσφόρος), the bringer of dawn. Ammon Hillman follows that light into the old sources: Josephus ties the dawn star to Aphrodite, Hesiod calls Eos (Ἠώς) the rosy dawn and sister of Helios and Selene, and the same planet appears as Hesperos in the evening. So the channel closes on the idea that the devil was never a horned man, but the light at the gate.
The last part is for the next phase. Isaiah 14 is put on screen where the morning star falls from heaven, and the sayings are read with Hades underneath, as the stream repeats that the Septuagint carries the Greek words. The final word is a verb, ololuzō (ὀλολύζω), to wail in mourning and triumph. The presentation frames Lucifer as the one who guards the gate and protects the child, and ends by calling the audience to stand with her for justice.

For the last few years on settler violence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, and it’s really gotten to a point I’ve never seen before. Settler violence is sweeping the territory.
The UN in October said it recorded the highest ever number of settler attacks in one month
since it began documenting this in 2006.
