This episode is a live reading session built around an interview with the broadcaster Andrew Gold and the thousands of comments left beneath it. The stream reads the debate as proof that the message is getting through, moving from praise to calls for exorcism and prison, and treats the comment section as the audience handing the text back to him. The main claim on the table is the same one the channel repeats: the oldest Bible is Greek, and the Hebrew underneath English translations is a later invention.
The word study at the center is the name Eber, the ancestor behind the word Hebrew. Ammon Hillman points to an early Christian author’s note that Abram is derived from Eber, then turns to the Septuagint’s Greek word perates (περάτης), which he translates as one who travels in order to buy and sell, a trafficker rather than a wanderer. That is the channel’s full claim about the name: the people of the book are named for trading, and the idea that the Bible was first written in Hebrew depends on a forged letter about translators.
The close ties Christ and salvation to medicine. The stream says Christos (χριστός) is an anointing drug and sōtēria (σωτηρία) is the process of being brought back to health by those drugs, so the language of the altar is really the language of the physician. It invites other Greek readers onto a big show to translate together, and ends with the channel’s own version of the gospel: read the source, not the summary, and stay with the muse.
