This episode is a thirty-minute introduction aimed at a European audience, laying out what the channel calls the five facts that break the standard story of the Bible. His conclusion is that believers have been promised something outside of time that the text never offers.
The last point moves to the arrest in the garden. He reads Mark 14:51–52 about a young man in a linen wrap who flees naked when Jesus is arrested, then turns to Gethsemane, where he says the Greek contains the charge child sex trafficker. That claim leads to Medea (Μήδεια), who the stream calls the first Christ and the first savior, Sōtēra (Σώτειρα), the woman said to have invented the drugs and the fumigations. The episode ends by saying read the Greek for yourself and see whether the text says what the sermons say it says.

whole team in november to keep going with our documentary stones on serpents let me ask you
um bruno let me ask you a question please yeah have you had any help from the academics well
yes yes as uh you know we started one year ago almost exactly one year ago a little bit more
the whole idea we contact uh different academics actually from um from different parts of the world
um specifically we have been working with evina that you already know um with you and on the field
also we we have the privilege to have been sitting down and performing interviews for the
for our our documentary with different um different people from different areas of
the academia um so yes we have been having um support in one side and in another side people
that are actually uh willing to be filmed you know and of course you amen what well okay tell
me this though what’s the this is what i’m curious about how did does the academic world or the
people that you’re trying to get this knowledge from what do they think of you how do they look
at you like personally do they do they respect you what you’re trying to do are they helpful in
that way um well i had um i have in in general i had a good experience in that in in that regard
because um as we started with this uh documentary idea any of us were we are not uh you know
of the world of academia and and regarding this so of course when i have to communicate with
somebody um at the beginning was a bit um difficult for me for because of that you know like
what are you trying to do what kind of projects are you doing um i would like or even some
reticence that they don’t understand what we are doing if we are youtubers or whatever you know
like so um what i will say about this is like i think in the in the people that i reach out are
very um interested and curious about what we are doing this and and i don’t think there’s many
people doing going into this kind of research and also i would like to say that as um as artists and
producers that we are working on this the whole idea of philology for us was uh something that we
really did were not you know exposed to so that changed everything for us and the approach of it
and then i could give a bit of more direction of what kind of academic we were trying to find like
because we are not trying to find you know interpretations or you know that’s
why we went with the idea of what phylogy does which is pretty much just
go for a translation you know okay okay oh god you had me at hello nice you had
me a hello with that listen to it people the philology is what is guiding the process right
the philology is what’s guiding the process and the people should the people should recognize

in the museum of alexandria that’s when they began third century second century really second
they began sending out expeditions of people to map the world to look at cultures ethnography
to document everything around what had become the civilized world and that’s what bruno’s doing he’s

talk about how all of that is a necessary part of the process yes well um actually for me this
has been very i don’t know the world specifically but uh um how can i explain this i’ve been writing
a lot you know um past month here in the in this island um about this that you are asking me like
uh at first it was like okay this is a big uh you know problem we are having you know i’m stranded
in a place i have to wait uh some time to keep going but at the end they actually the actual
almost 40 days i’ve been here now and i think um has been very very important for the whole project
because as you were saying i’m i’m i’m interacting with um with this place and as i was telling you
last time we talked uh i went to the sites here you know doing a bit of filming of the
archaeological sites and museum and everything but um i keep thinking about this idea that
it was about uh it’s not just about the temple uh remnants or the you know like the stones
there is still you know or the site it is more about the place they this is just an idea of
mine you know but it makes sense to me that is about the place they choose to put these temples
and and the fact that i’ve been interacting with this place in this manner which is pretty much
i’m living you know in it in in the beach not every every day because sometimes it’s completely
impossible if the wind goes too hard here in this island the sea will come up and i was living in a
shelter which you cannot move you know so if the sea is going too high i just have to move from
there and for the summer you know it’s great there’s people that does this in these islands
you know you can stay and everything but now i’m way off season so i will say i yesterday i was by
myself right here in the place that i’m now and i didn’t saw anybody like in five hours you know
like like i’m the only one in this in this uh part of the island now but there is some other people
also here and what i’m trying to say is like um this opportunity for me to be like this in this
way you know like pretty much stranded if you if you want um gave me the it gave sense in a way
to the whole uh with what i do for the project i’m producing but at the same time to be able
to produce what we are doing i’m all in you know i’m this is everything i’m doing right now so
So the fact that physically I am involved with it also,
and my mind also making me, I’m writing a lot,
as I was saying,
give me an understanding of what I’m doing,
which is a bit deeper than before.
Before I was doing the movie, you know,
now I’m actually invest in a different manner now,
like at a personal level,
this is not easy to explain but i will try and we are doing this um to through the camera be able to
explain what i’m just saying you know um this material is becoming also part of the of the
whole uh script as we are you know uh so i still going to be recording now for the next month also
you know i’m leaving this island now um the weather is is getting uh tougher so i have one
day of no big wind so there’s a ferry going out if i don’t get into that ferry i’ll i might be
you know i don’t know how much time without any possibility to go out but tomorrow there’s a ferry
so hopefully the island will let me go um i’m not that i’m not absolutely sure but that’s my
plan tomorrow i should take this ferry to alexandropoli and from alexandropoli back
to istanbul for a week and now we are planning uh with the team where it will be the best for me to
stay waiting and because of this also um we have one more month uh to wait which is nothing you
know i have to make a lot of of of logistic now to to to bring the the whole team the whole team
is right they’re waiting you know they’re connecting with me all the time and they’re
we haven’t stopped working on what we are doing and like any day we don’t have days off now with
this but this is what we do i lo i love it and and you know i’m grateful to be able to do it
sorry about that i touched the controller people um bruno first of all we cannot we have to
maintain very close contact during this time so you need to know that every time lady babylon is
on that you have an open invitation people what bruno is doing is the real work it’s the real work
imagine that he’s not just he’s not just cognitively interacting he’s sitting there
taking in the land that’s all he’s doing and his big concern is whether or not he’s the winds are
going to be right tomorrow and whether or not he’s going to be able to catch that ferry and
get out of there or go to another island crash people um there is something that bruno is doing
that we have escaped is modern and i have tremendous uh tremendous respect and admiration
and i know everybody else does too here at lady babylon so um bruno we don’t want to lose
communication you uh every place that you go we have to make it so that you can
you can help us along on the journey you know you’re doing the irl thing right so we need to
make it so that we’re plugged into you and and um people again safety what about look at bruno
out there he’s in the dark people a lot of people couldn’t just couldn’t do that
Right. A lot of us. Can you go spend the night out? Right. Just think about it, people. Right. Bruno, how do you get the courage to to say, hey, I can sit here in dark all by myself on this island and absorb, still absorb the, you know, you are just like Odysseus or, you know, Agamemnon sitting there waiting for the winds to come.
you know oh you’re right in that sweet spot of the reality just tell me this this will be my
final question to you how is it that you have the courage and the impulse to go right
what is it that made you just get up and go oh that’s a great question um the first thing that
comes to mind is the crew you know it’s not just me I see you you know I mean I
work with my brother also work with Nico with my other brother also you know with
my friends that are involved in this project and now with the audience that
very supportive of what we are doing so I feel that that I’m not even asking
myself should I stop doing this or whatever I mean it’s already something
that is moving all the time I just think about to keep myself healthy and and and
I don’t give much thought to it you know sometimes you don’t even know if you are
if you ask me right now i couldn’t tell you uh exactly how we are doing everything we have to do
you know um but it’s a fact that we’re doing it i mean it’s not a doubt in my mind so um
i try also to to to communicate that um or to be constantly in this um state um to give this
confidence also to the to the team you know to the crew we have been some time doing this and
and we need to keep pushing forward and and to be completely honest uh i don’t um i i
just don’t see other ways so there’s not much um um it’s not that i’m trying to convince myself
you know to to keep doing this it’s like it’s not a doubt in my mind it’s not it’s not a question
know i’m here right now and the things keep moving forward and and things are appearing you know um
even this that has been happening with the audience that i would like to say and i will
never stop saying it like how grateful we are of the support we’re receiving and this is also
something that might be related also with with with the feeling that i have to keep going you
know it’s not that i’m suffering you know or doing this is something that i that i that i

will ask of us to lose some control of it meaning that you will be censored or the you shouldn’t
take this you know like this kind of thing so we always said and we keep doing this like now we
we want to keep uh the control of what we are showing and even if that signifies that we will
lose the budget like what happened to to us now we decided okay we want to keep doing it as we
want to do it we’re not going to be censored so um you know we switch and we lost the budget and
that’s why i i i got myself into this situation but uh it was we decided this so it’s part of
the decision we made the fact that i’m here by myself and i’m as i was telling you i it’s what
is needed and and yeah soon enough we’ll be all together again and filming you know yeah as we
want and yeah look at that people listen to the listen to what bruno is doing as an artist is
protecting is his link to the muse. That link to the muse is what he’s doing. He doesn’t want to
sell out and say, well, now I owe you something. No, instead he’s sitting there and he’s learning

yorgos uh from from greece he’s a rescuer of mountain rescued he told me well the only thing

you should be careful with it if he’s old she’s experienced because when she delivers the venom
he gets sick for a while so she will not attack him yeah but if they are young yeah you should

big mountain that’s what it is it’s basically a mountain and when i’ve had the privilege to
to hike with people that knows this place um and i was filming this place so you’ll be able to see
and it’s quite different if you go to the mountain uh it’s like you’re in another world separated
from the beach let’s say if you are in the south it’s completely different from the north the you
know the humidity you say i haven’t half of my clothes right now has been wet for four days i
I mean, it’s like it doesn’t get dry, man.
It’s humid and cold in this side.
But if I’m in the south side, it’s dry.
You know, it’s different.
But what I mean is like, how do I sleep?
I’m tired when I sleep.
You know, I keep myself moving a lot and doing stuff every day and still me.
so basically i’m not thinking too much about these things at the beginning maybe yeah like uh
i don’t know spiders you know this kind of thing but uh but at the end you just um forget about it
i guess you know and i have been meeting people also here you know uh that are used to this kind
of lifestyle there’s many people that come to these islands and live here and they don’t want
the house they don’t want to even attend they make their life like i don’t know like in the
forest you know and also all sorts of of of people that are attracted to this place that you might
call crazy people but but they are like it’s something very interesting that happens here
and i think this um is related with what i was saying to you about or you said this to me
actually and and then i remembered and it makes so much sense to me that the geographical place
is something that is quite important and as the days i mean for the right or for you know the
topic that that that we’re researching with stones and serpents and with as i’m out of season i have
been meeting people uh that comes to this island off season because they don’t want to be here
when the old tourists are here or you know and they come in this time of the year and all of
them are very aware of the heritage of these places and and and i have been having amazing
conversations about the ancient times you know yorgos was telling me the other day how he thinks
that greek the greek the modern greece is trying to disconnect and and cover uh kind of thing and
disconnect people from ancient greek history and language so specifically language like they are
changing now how they teach it how they pronounce it like um and he was very specific telling me
like they are doing this on purpose because they don’t want they don’t want us to to
to connect with this identity of what was going on before christian uh ideas that they have now in
in greece you know so not even from academia for them is their history so if you find people like
this in this kind of places like very interested in what we are doing actually i at least five
people from here um or not from here that they come always here are very interested connected
with me asking me helping me you know inviting me to have dinner or whatever because of what
we are doing and we are showing you lady babylon here you know we have been showing our material
that i’m doing right now um you know that’s why i’m very careful also when we share something to
not be disrespectful and show you know like okay the camera you know in the middle of showing
everybody how they live here i’m trying to not to distort too much um because they are very
respectful of of of this you know and at the same time very interested in what we are doing and so
so it’s a it’s a study it’s a study that you’re performing i mean you sound like an anthropologist
You sound like these old Hellenistic Greek writers who talk about visiting a place and learning the culture and learning how the land dictates what the culture is.
I think that’s what you’re getting.
I think you’re seeing some kind of link between the stones and the serpents and what’s going on in society.

movement to block people from this original you know this natural thing that we’re supposed to

um here in this cafe and he was living but he was here already for four months and i’m a rescue
diver so he’s a rescue mountain guide so we had this incoming and we start chatting and then i
start to tell him what i was doing here because he’s like how long have you been here not like
one month where are you living in the beach where man in the beach and and then we started to talk
about you know this topic and and he was uh very interested in knowing uh what we have been talking
with you what have been um encountering during all of this process last year we did a big chunk of
of of you know um of expedition and and we we have so much material you know and and
interviewings and stuff so now that i have the privilege of um have been doing this for one year
a person that is very interested like him which is a greek heritage it’s a greek person with this
heritage but um that are very interested in knowing what we have been founding and that
gives me also um like a sense of we actually are not uh in the same spot like when we started you
know there is some stuff that i can talk with them and share with them and and and these topics are
are known in surface and seems to me that is an ongoing inquiry for everybody, even
for them. That’s why I think is the fact that we are working with you and give us this philology
approach is also something that they haven’t seen it from this perspective either, like
which is not easy to explain.
Like we are not trying to interpret
or to give interpretation.
We are using original texts,
what they were saying about themselves
without any, you know, personal ideas to put there.
You know, it’s like,
so they are very interested in this approach.
And that became the main way of, you know,
steering the research we’re doing like the the approach of our philologists so that’s why we
were with you and and evina and and i think is something that the everybody should know
that this approach exists you know which is um let’s see what they say people
people if you can’t let me let me interrupt bruno and i’m sorry to do that but let me interrupt you
mentioned navina why the hell is safina not out there what is she doing oh you’re gonna have the
leg up on us bruno because you you are getting a phased kind of education in what they had
in antiquity that we can’t reach so that understanding of every like just the climate
your description there of the climate and the fact that you can’t keep dry right and this is
everybody recognize these are potentially you know life-taking circumstances you’re in right
you have an awareness now just from your hearing and sight and smell of everything around you
that you’re going to have a greater understanding of that ancient experience so for example
elusis we saw nico right with elusis and everything gorgeous love it nico um being there
now in your circumstances when you stand in these places you’re going to be getting a deeper
you’re going to be getting and not through a touristy way this deeper understanding but

picking up things that the people who are there with the land are themselves picking up so when
you go to this elusive experience can you then use your education is this what part of the whole
experience is and bruno’s out there doing it he’s out there doing it people and this is
