Part two turns the same lens from one biblical scholar onto the institutions of modern classics. Nameless faculty, the episode says, told Danny Jones that Christing has nothing to do with drugs, and Ammon Hillman takes that as the moment the guardians stopped reading their own sources. The oldest Greek is brought in as the counter: in the Odyssey, Odysseus goes looking for a poison so he can Christ his arrows, and the show reads that as the first reference to Christing in surviving Greek literature, a drug applied to a weapon.
The second proof is ambrosia (ἀμβροσία). The Homeric hymns show Aphrodite Christing herself with ambrosia, and the episode asks what ambrosia is, then turns to Galen, where the same word is tied to the theriac (θηριακή), the antidote people called the theriac of immortality. The complaint is that Galen may be ten percent of surviving Greek, yet modern classicists do not read him, so they miss the medical authors and the names of the compounds. A search combining the roots for drug and Christ is then said to land on Pindar’s Fourth Pythian Ode, the song about Medea, and on words like chrisopharmakois (χρισοφαρμάκοις), the compounds that join Chrism and drug in Aeschylus and Euripides.
The final target is academia’s record. Princeton, the show says, has stopped teaching classical Greek outright, Harvard is accused of fifty-thousand-dollar fraud, and the closing claim is that no American classicist since Thomas Jefferson has advanced Western civilization. The anger is aimed at the dealers, the lēstai (λῃσταί), who it says sell access to texts they cannot read, while the texts themselves belong to everyone willing to look. The whole thing leans on one invitation repeated throughout: open the lexicon and check.
