Ammon Hillman takes the second leg of the Hebrew worship series into the Book of Numbers. The censers of Korah’s rebels are pyreia chalka (πυρεῖα χαλκᾶ), bronze fire-pans, and they carry what the Greek calls to pyr to allotrion (τὸ πῦρ τὸ ἀλλότριον), the foreign fire, the wrong incense. Moses is shown telling the Lord not to enter into that incense, and the episode reads the revolt behind it as a drug fight inside a cult: the rebels insist their own path to vision works just as well, so Moses offers a test of rods laid overnight in the telesterion (τελεστήριον), the chamber where the voice is summoned, and one blooms by morning.
The Greek under the story carries the claim forward. The murmuring of the factions is gonguzo (γογγύζω), to mutter division, and the same word family shows up again in the New Testament letter of Jude as gongustai (γογγυσταί). Abraham is read as the perates (περάτης), the wanderer on the sea of commerce, a title the episode says attaches to human trafficking, and the whole company is described as men of name, onomastoi (ὀνομαστοί). The verse then lands on the alastor (ἀλάστωρ), the avenging spirit, which the episode says a killer creates and which then follows him like one of the wandering stars, the planetai (πλανῆται).
The final pages pull two vocabulary threads tight. Eternal life, it argues, is really aionic life, from aionios (αἰώνιος), life measured in many ions, aiōnes (αἰῶνες), and the imprecation itself ends on the name Amun, the hidden drive behind the oracle. Andromache’s line in the Greek is read as the great admission: there is an antidote for the snake and the echidna’s fire, but no cure for what the episode calls lady venom, the power of the woman that dissolves a person into his purpose. The cult word aselgeia (ἀσέλγεια), translated as licentiousness, is held up not as a sin but as the energy the mystery channels, all of it still Greek underneath the Hebrew.
