Video Description

If the gods spill blood, what could it possibly mean for us? In this deeper follow-up to the previous lesson, Lyam Christopher looks past the shocking image and into the mystery beneath it. Blood in the old stories is rarely just injury. It is the living current of creation, the same force the myths describe when a god gives of himself and the world comes pouring forth.

He revisits the haunting picture of the universe as a giving body, opened so that everything can stream into being, and he places it beside the ancient image of Atum creating the world from himself. These are not meant to be taken as medical facts but as ways of seeing the hidden vitality that runs through all things. Milk, sap, incense, and firelight appear in this teaching as fellow carriers of the same inner radiance.

Then the point becomes wonderfully practical. You do not actually need blood, he says, and he plainly does not recommend it. Plants, herbs, scents, and even the quiet movement of smoke can serve as catalysts for touching what the old traditions called the inner blood of the gods. The goal is not a ritual prop but an awakening, the moment when ordinary substance reveals the one life glowing inside it.

Okay, it is actually Monday. It’s the end of a three-day weekend for me, and this is a video
about the blood of the gods. So last week’s video, you could say, is part one. It was called
The Use of Blood in Ritual, and this one is going to go deeper into that concept. All right,
I believe in the last video I showed this picture, and I presented it as a sort of mandala or a
depiction of the entire universe. So the universe is perceived as giving of itself, sort of like it
has picked at itself and sort of ruptured open. And now all of the contents are spewing out in
the manifestation. Okay, so this is one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is
the masturbation myth. For instance, Atum, the Egyptian god of non-being and being,
grabs hold of himself and ejaculates the universe into existence okay so um a lot of
mystery cults and religions would rather focus on the blood aspect of it the bleeding aspect
rather than the ejaculation aspect and the same thing goes for the egyptian mysteries too there
is also the concept of the blood of osiris and this is the concept of the universe is was was
unmanifest it was perfectly pristine it was so perfect that you couldn’t see anything okay so
eventually it sort of got restless and curled back upon itself and then manipulated itself
like the pelican here picks at its breast and then the um the non-manifest pure potentiality within
bursts forth and uh fills up a sort of imaginary space okay and then uh the universe is born that
way you could even say the big bang happens and so from this idea of the blood pouring forth
or something coming or something bursting forth right um we also get the idea of the four rivers
of paradise um conceivably the four rivers in the garden of eden they erupted from a central source
uh conceivably the tree of life okay and they uh like there was a spring underneath the tree and
then the the four rivers flowed forth from the tree okay one might say that they’re the four
elements well not quite because we have the karabim up here in this image um so it’s hard
to say what they are like the rivers of spiritual power that are separating the elements so each of
the um diagonal directions if you look at this diagram if you look northeast um northwest
southeast southwest those are the elements and between the elements then we have this sort of
separating force so the spirit the the rivers of spirit flowing out from the divine are actually
managing to separate the elements into separate compartments let’s say and this is how
manifestation then happens because if there’s no separation then everything dissolves into perfect
unity and then you can’t see anything anymore because everything becomes de-objectified
okay so when all if you if you look at a map if there aren’t any territories divided up or
portions of land divided up then you really can’t see anything it’s just all one big blob
and it disappears okay and so um this is the phenomenological view of the universe as to how
it comes into being and lo and behold this is from the system of eunuchian magic which the golden
dawn teaches it’s not a system that a student has to practice has to practice but it is important
to learn it at least up until you can decide whether you want to use it and each of these
four elemental tablets in the four corners each each one of them represents one of the four
elements and once again you can see we have the outflowing rivers of spirit coming out from what
we call here the tablet of union okay so the spiritual force here also divides the elements
from each other creating manifestation okay which also alludes back to the pyramid which is another
profound symbol in ancient egypt that represents how manifestation happens and in ritual a student
of golden dawn magic you know embodies this outflowing force of the divine when he or she
performs the kabbalistic cross and that’s uh they perform the kabbalistic cross at both the
beginning and the end of the lesser banishing ritual the pentagram okay so not only is that
the cross of suffering that jesus was supposedly crucified on it is also a um a representation of
the four rivers of uh paradise and the power of manifestation now in greek myth the um the gods
have a certain type of blood and it’s really cool because in the iliad in the homeric um tradition
um in the iliad uh the the gods actually enter battle among the mortals who are battling for
troy or besieging troy and uh the gods sometimes get wounded in battle ouch and they don’t bleed
blood the bleed they bleed a substance called icor and homer uh the author of the iliad and
the odyssey he doesn’t really um say what the what that blood looks like what the icor looks like
but in later um representations of the greek gods in the battle uh it’s described as golden
in color and there’s a lot of mythology built up around like well why is it gold so apparently um
the the greek gods on mount olympus they were immortal but they augmented their power by
eating ambrosia and nectar or drinking ambrosia and nectar it’s not really clear ambrosia was
probably a food let’s say according to some myth and the nectar was a drink but sometimes
the ambrosia is described as a drink as well all right uh and the ambrosia was what they imbibed to
augment their immortal stature okay sometimes it’s described as giving them their immortal
nature and there are a couple of myths of mortals who were given ambrosia nectar and then
turned immortal because of that uh but there are other stories of you know like nectar being
spread upon um people’s flesh or whatever like that and it didn’t make them immortal but it
gave them like special powers okay i believe achilles might have been bathed in nectar or
something like that um and that made him immortal that’s one one a myth anyway um and i was a
penelope uh the wife of odysseus was also bathed in nectar which made her look very young and
beautiful and attractive to all of her suitors but it didn’t make her immortal okay now these various
foods and substances that people could supposedly imbibe to gain special powers or to experience
immortality uh they go by various names and various cultures so in the east we have amrita
i assume that’s from india um and from the middle east and from the east we have soma
soma is very interesting we’re going to talk about that in a bit we have apples of immortality
which was from the Norse mythology.
In other words, Thor and Odin and the other gods
ate apples of immortality.
And it’s not really clear.
Well, does that mean they were mortal
and the only thing that kept them immortal
was eating the apples?
It’s not really clear sometimes.
And then Odin himself drank of the mead of poetry.
And so that’s another sort of substance similar to the Soma or the nectar of the gods, which gave him incredible prophetic powers and magical powers.
And let’s see, from the Stoics, we get the idea that the universe is ensouled or inspirited by Pneuma.
So in the later Greek cosmology, the entire universe was filled with an essence called pneuma, which is sort of like a combination of air and fire.
Pneuminous, I think, comes from that word as well.
If something is pneuminous, it shines forth with spiritual power and mystery and possibly immortality.
Of course, Pneuma fills everything in the universe, including you and me, who are supposedly mortal, right?
Well, if Pneuma is on par with nectar and ambrosia, we all should be immortal, shouldn’t we?
If Pneuma fills everything.
All right, then we have ordinary everyday objects, which are used as analogies for the substance of immortality, the blood of the gods.
okay so the greek gods uh would eat ambrosia and nectar and it would turn their blood into
ichor and it would change to a golden color okay if you wounded them in battle um it hurt them
really badly but it really couldn’t kill them okay and then the wounds would heal very fast
uh but they would bleed this um golden substance called ichor okay and the stuff that they used
to achieve that special power or immortality uh came in the form of possibly apples okay which
kind of alludes back to the garden of eden of course when adam and eve ate of the apple
they became mortal they didn’t become immortal but of course if they were to reach that was from
the tree of knowledge right so if they were to reach for for the tree of life those apples or
whatever they are would be able then to grant immortality perhaps they weren’t apples maybe
they were pomegranates all right but in any case these are ordinary earthly things supposedly
supposedly ordinary that are used as like analogies for nectar and ambrosia and the
substance of immortality okay so red wine also represents the blood of christ which also
supposedly grants immortality and healing, salvation. The fountain of youth, which Ponce
de Leon was looking for here in Florida, and he apparently never found that. It’s a matter of
level confusion. Now remember that this spiritual substance, pneuma, fills the entire universe.
So everything is pneumonous. Everything is immortal. So why would you have to look around
for the fountain of youth if everything is already that way? But of course, why would I
refer to myself as immortal if it’s pretty clear that i’m going to die like anybody else
eventually so it’s interesting this substance that we can imbibe or ingest or infuse ourselves with
hmm what is it exactly and does it make us immortal or just does it help us experience
our true nature as already immortal able to take on many different forms and just to keep going
and going and going okay so the this force of life and energy and immortality is also equated
with the breath and so we have practices like qigong uh from uh i guess that’s from uh from
china uh that use a lot of breath work and then they view the life essence as inhabiting the air
somehow okay and this is a very interesting idea too um and remember what the greeks thought is
that fire and air combined uh uh held the the pneuma the power of spirit okay and there’s some
interesting science behind that too by the way that has emerged somewhat recently within the
past 50 years or so and ah space hmm space also gets equated with the special substance spaces
isn’t substance is it the space also gets equated with that sort of certain spiritual something or
other that makes us immortal and we’ll be talking about that in a bit too and of course the four
elements each of the four elements is emblematic of that special spiritual substance or pneuma
okay and in some traditions you know fire water air and earth the fifth element is space okay um
or the ether okay or some would just say spirit okay so space and spirits sort of um are the same
thing okay or ether and spirit can be viewed as the same thing depending on what um depending on
which of the four worlds of kabbalah you’re in and in the grail legend the grail is a very mysterious
thing. I know that in common imagery, it’s normally referred to as a cup, but the Grail
and the Grail romances took a variety of forms, notably the lance and the cup and the shield and
the stone. And I think somehow these were elemental manifestations, like the lance could have been
fire, the cup could have been water, the shield, I don’t know, the stone would be earth, I guess
the shield was air but anyway um this grail could take these various forms okay um and um i think
the oldest myth of the grail is that it was a stone and it was actually an emerald on the crown
of lucifer when he fell when he fell from uh heaven and it fell off of his crown uh as he fell
and then um the neutral angels found it and hid it away somewhere and that’s the grail stone also
known as the philosopher’s stone so one of the coolest ways to experience this sort of blood of
the gods is through space and so uh you know there are various videos out there about minimalism and
decluttering and one of the things that’s really curious about decluttering is that when you
declutter your home and you get rid of stuff you don’t need there’s a lot of energy released quite
a lot of energy actually and this is the idea like so what so why does sacrifice you know lead
to a release of energy okay uh so it might be a little bit too literal uh and it might amount to
level confusion to assume that space opened up your home in your home is going to lead to
spiritual energy or something like that because it’s probably more like when you get things out
of your life they no longer occupy your psychic energy anymore you’re not thinking about them and
planning about them and you’re not maneuvering around them um you’re not worried about them
anymore because they’re gone and that frees up a lot of energy okay that’s this might be how space
sort of started to get um uh confused with the broth with um with spiritual energy or
pneuma or spiritual substance like the blood of the gods or ether or even ectoplasm and so in a
temple space we have uh especially in the neophyte temple of the golden dawn we have the dark pillar
and the light pillar jacquinth and boaz boaz being the dark one and jacquinth being the the white
the white pillar and these uh these reside in the east and this is the uh the tarot card of
the high priestess and you can see that between the pillars so these the two pillars of manifestation
they represent uh the apparent opposites okay and so when um the the primary deity like atom
gets restless and um touches himself and spews forth the universe um one aspect of him like
let’s say his hand is jacinth and then his member would be boaz and that the two of them now
interact and do some some vibrating or pulsating right and then that causes manifestation to come
into being so the vibration between the uh the light and the dark okay this is similar to genesis
when the light was separated from the darkness okay and then and then of course in other
traditions like um cashmere shivism the vibration between the light and the darkness produces
manifestation and then so here we have strung between the pillars this sort of tapestry
that is the space that has been opened up between the two aspects of god that have been separated
from each other there and now there’s a vibration like sort of shimmering across that tapestry
behind the high priestess and you can see that she herself is a uh representation of that vibration
you can see it in her uh robe there as it spills that onto the floor like a liquid sort of
substance okay and the and the tapestry behind her has pomegranates on it which are a symbol of the
fecundity or the um the power of a life in potentiality because the pomegranate is full
of seeds okay so that shimmering veil of vibration is potentially capable of producing everything in
manifestation and that’s represented by the pomegranates there okay not only that but by
the high priestess herself okay so then in this kind of view of the universe everything that you
can see as a mortal being is the robe of this goddess isis and part of the mysteries uh mystery
traditions isis is quoted as saying no one has looked beneath my veil and lived okay in other
words those who are alive and those who are mortal um all they see is the veil the shimmering
vibrating field that exists between the darkness and the light and this is how
we exist in our state of ignorance in our unenlightened state all we can see
we can’t really see the tapestry itself all we really see is the various
patterns of vibration and so we mistake those patterns of vibration for the
universe itself and that’s a mistake because the actual universe only
only consists of the tapestry,
not the patterns of vibration in that tapestry, okay?
And supposedly an enlightened being
can see the tapestry itself, okay?
So can you, but you just don’t register.
Somehow an enlightened being knows what’s happening.
They can see it.
Now, the reason we can’t see it
is because we are caught up in this dichotomy
of spirit and matter.
And there’s a way that we can rescue ourselves
from this dichotomous view of things this duality okay this is why the traditions of enlightened
enlightenment are called non-dual so it kind of breaks the spell of that duality okay and pretty
cool in the western traditions in the western mystery traditions there’s a really cool antidote
to this spirit matter split okay in the grail romance religions um the arthurian legends the
The rift between spirit and matter is called the wound of Amphortas.
That’s the fisher king who’s been wounded.
He can no longer see that he and the land are one.
And when that happens, he becomes a tyrant and his kingdom becomes a wasteland.
He was wounded that way, as are we all.
We have lost our ability to see that we and the world, that we and nature are one.
That’s the wound of Amphortas.
in the kabbalah of the golden dawn this the the gap between spirit and matter is referred to as
the abyss you might think of it this way when god when atum the egyptian god atum decides to touch
himself and stimulate the universe into existence okay the gap between his hand and his phallus is
the abyss okay and into that gap there he spews the universe into existence okay um but really
it’s more the patterns of vibration that are causing things to manifest. So if there’s this
idea of blood spilling forth from a god to produce manifestation, that’s really a bit of a misnomer
because what’s actually happened is you have rippling currents of vibrations spreading out
into, I don’t know, space or the ether, and that resembles blood gushing from a wound,
okay or semen gushing from a phallus in the terms of a tomb okay or blood coming from the side of
jesus representation of the universe itself being created okay and but these are actually just
ripples of vibration not really any blood per se any true blood that’s coming forth from the divine
okay interesting notion there too because i just revealed what it is about that blood that
renders us immortal but it’s not that easy to see is it i just revealed it but of course where
no no you didn’t well you have to infer it okay and i will talk about it in a bit
all right so let’s do the antidote to the spirit matter um in you know in modern psychology we
call it the mind body split if you examine yourself very closely and try to find the gap
between mind and body you will not be able to find it okay it’s just a matter of convenience
it’s basically you know two different levels of activity that don’t actually have a dividing line
anywhere more like categories okay or levels of activity which are more abstract anyway all right
so the antidote to this duality between spirit and matter or mind and body is called metaxi or
the greeks would say metaxi okay or i guess anglicized some people say it’s metazi um
i don’t know like let’s call it metaxi okay um it simply means that the universe has three
layers or levels not two all right now that doesn’t mean that the the universe literally
has three levels but if you look at it as though it does then interesting stuff can begin to become
apparent to okay so in the greek cosmology there was the realm of the gods and there was the world
and in between there was the realm of the diamonds okay now the word diamond from the greek
this is what christianity eventually corrupted into the word demon because anything that was
pagan to them was evil and so the all the diamonds that they you know were aware of from other
traditions all these spirits that existed between the divine and the world they they’re all demons
okay or or they’re angels yeah so they did allow for some of them to be good and for the greeks
the the diamonds were neither good nor bad but they were mediating spirits between the gods and
the world okay the world came into existence through the agency of the diamonds okay so if
you think of the high priestess and and how she represents that tapestry that’s strung between
the two pillars the diamonds are really just patterns of energy on that shimmering vibrating
tapestry okay and these are energy patterns that maintain themselves for a very long time
unlike us we we don’t our energy patterns don’t don’t last very long but the diamonds last for
a very long time okay and so uh those diamonds create other energy patterns and then you get
these various levels of activity forming okay so the diamonds were an intermediate
an intermediate level of activity an intermediate level of vibration and then the external world
itself becomes another sort of level of vibration on top of that so you got this major sort of
vibration thing going on but then you have you know interference patterns emerging between those
vibrations and then we get the physical world well it’s a cool concept anyway okay so now that
turns into when it comes to the microcosm or just you know for an individual human being
each person then has a spiritual level and a physical body level and a soul level okay
really the body only does consist of spirit and body, but the vibration between spirit and body
is the soul. Yeah. And so a lot of things can be healed this way. If you think about the wound of
Amphitas, that chasm that exists between the king and his land, because he no longer sees himself
as one with the land, right? That is healed when he can see that there is a between him and the
land, there’s soul, that there is no gap between himself and everything else. If there appears to
be a gap, that gap is filled up with this thing called soul, okay, which consists of the vibratory
pattern that exists between spirit and matter. And when we lose sight of that sort of hidden
vibration between everything, betwixt and between everything, we are lost, we are wounded, we are
damaged we are traumatized okay and then the way to get back to our healed state again is to restore
our soul or we restore we restore the soul of the world okay not really it’s been there all
along but we lost the ability to tune into it and recognize that it’s still there and the very
interesting thing about this soul is that it doesn’t really exist between it exists everywhere
if you want to experience spirit you can only do that through the soul and if you want to
experience matter you can only do that through soul soul is the medium through which everything
manifests to awareness that vibration you might say that the ultimate stillness that is the divine
cannot truly appreciate itself or become aware of itself unless there is that vibration happening
and that vibration is ecstasy bliss it’s god looking at himself in the mirror being really
turned on by what he sees and producing more and more universe as a result of it okay and we have
of course the vibration this is the um sri yantra mantra which is a really cool version of the
hexagram as you can see the um the two forces of the divine the upper triangle and the lower
triangle um come together that’s basically god touching himself and this amazing tantric sexual
act emerges a major pulsation and vibration which is responsible for producing manifestation okay
and so these rippling patterns of vibration they um resonate with images of the universe touching
itself and then spilling forth from itself okay there really isn’t anything spilling out though
okay so if you look at the ocean and you can see uh if you drop let’s say you look into a
a still body of water and you drop a pebble into it and then the the ripples spread out the water
ripples spread out that they’re the water ripples are moving it’s as though the the surface of the
water is bleeding these things these things these wave patterns are erupting from a central point
as though those waves are bleeding out from the center or exploding out from the center but the
water really isn’t moving all that much it’s the waves that are moving okay so uh the this idea of
blood spewing forth from from the breast of the pelican to feed its young okay the pelican picks
that itself and the blood comes out and then of course everything is now subsisting off of that
gushing blood all the young are now subsisting off of that okay in other words universe needs
that vibration in order to continue okay that’s really all we’re talking about here okay and so
i guess that can be kind of disappointing if you’re doing ritual it’s like oh you thought
using blood and ritual was like cool right or using various fluids or whatever um these are
things are more emblematic of what’s actually going on which is that vibration okay now
interesting thing though it’s like what is electricity and what is light these things are
vibration everything is being uh manifested into existence through vibration all right
now the reason we are mortal is because we identify with the patterns of vibration
those patterns of vibration are not really the substance of us the substance of us is
is that which is being vibrated, okay?
We are not the ocean waves, we are the ocean, okay?
So the ability to look at the wave pattern
and infer the substance that’s actually waving at us, okay?
That’s how you realize your mortal nature.
And this is why the blood of the gods spilling out
somehow is supposed to bestow immortality.
if you know how to imbibe of it,
or if you know how to drink it,
or if you know how to process it, okay?
So it doesn’t even matter what you’re looking at,
as long as you’re able to realize
that this is all vibration,
and it’s not really the true substance
of which everything is made, okay?
The true substance of which everything is made
is invisible behind that wave pattern,
and that’s the substance of the universe itself, okay?
And that’s why, and now that substance
is absolutely indestructible, of course, okay?
And that’s the immortal substance,
which is actually the philosopher’s stone.
That’s what the philosopher’s stone is.
And it’s often referred to as a stone
because it’s absolutely hard, absolutely still,
absolutely quiet, absolutely clear like a diamond,
absolutely invisible,
but you don’t need to look at it to discern it.
And so this idea of metaxi is a bit odd because in the Golden Dawn, they teach that there are four worlds.
And the Greek version of the universe, this metaxi was basically spirit, soul, matter, and that’s it.
Here, we have Atzaluth, Bria, Yetzirah, and Asiyah.
Uh-oh, Asiyah is the world of matter or the world of action, and Yetzirah is the astral plane, and we have Bria and Atzaluth, okay?
so in the uh the configuration of metaxi these are still three levels okay and let’s talk about
how they work okay so um ataluth and bria are uh pretty much the world of spirit okay and those
are the supernals the kether hakama and bina are the supernals okay um and you have to study
kabbalah to know what i’m talking about so those are the highest three spheres of the tree of life
okay those essentially are the god atum sort of getting restless and um he’s thinking about
touching himself okay and when and if he does do that he will begin to pulsate or masturbate
to create the universe okay so the hand that’s reaching out to touch himself is hakma and the
the body part that he touches is bina so to speak okay and so when those two combine the rest of
universe comes into existence okay and of course um as god reaches out or as a tomb reaches out to
touch himself the space um that is enfolded by that arc of touching himself okay is the abyss
okay this imaginary space that but like what’s that made of well that space is still filled
with god but he’s pretending he’s not occupying that space in order to make this happen and when
he uh when the vibration begins that’s that sort of um invisible uh space between those is vibrating
now it’s pulsating with energy and then everything spews into existence within that space and that’s
yetsira yetsira is that tapestry of vibration that exists between the two pillars of the temple that
are behind the the high priestess okay so remember when the high priestess was sitting there she had
two two pillars behind her there was a tapestry strung between them and that tapestry was
shimmering with vibration okay and that shimmering vibrating tapestry that’s the world of yatsira
okay and of course yatsiras filled with all kinds of cool energy patterns and things like that this
is the world of dreams okay and then apparently other patterns of vibration right on top of those
patterns of vibration and those those um more complicated tangled up patterns of vibration
exist in the world of asya the world of action okay it’s interesting too because if you um if
you you’re waking up in the morning and you’re sort of hovering between uh dreamy sleep and
waking consciousness you can see this happening you have a very clear sometimes you can see it
you have a very clear pristine sort of um psychic space where imagery is arising and everything’s
very fluid and everything can change rapidly uh many incredible feats of imagination are possible
like you can fly and you can levitate and you can have superhuman strength or things like that right
and you can also you know experience all kinds of and you can experience and relive all kinds
of trauma from our evolutionary past in that dream space and as you wake up something closes
in and it’s like these two curtains are closing in and they’re shutting down and then this world
of physicality and little bodily aches and pains begins to settle in it’s like oh this is a and
it’s not as clear actually it’s really interesting um that the physical senses are not quite as clear
as that inner realm can be okay so the inner inner psychic world can be much um clearer actually than
the physical senses okay um anyway this is why in um in magical ritual we have the gesture of
rending the veal the rending the veil where you stick your hands forward stick your hands for
here we go stick your hands forward and then draw them apart like this to indicate that the the um
the world of the the realm of the senses is being pushed aside so now we are entering into that
space of yatsira okay and that’s the world of the soul okay so it’s here is that realm of vibration
between the extremes of the spirit world okay and the so up above in bria that’s simply the
vibratory action between light and darkness which would be that masturbatory vibration or that
pulsation of energy okay and this is why in tantric chivism that those are shiva and shakti
in one sense you could say um shiva exists in kether and then shakti exists in everything
else below kether okay but shiva and shakti combine in baria as hakama and bina okay i’m
mixing traditions together which is not necessarily advisable unless you know what you’re doing
okay i’m mixing kabbalah with tantric shivism well uh but trying to convey things more clearly to you
guys okay so yet sirah is a um a a much purer pristine level of vibration and then um athiya
down below is much more tangled up and there’s interference patterns going on and things like
that okay if you can try to distinguish you want to um distinguish between those two levels of
vibration that are going on okay and much of what’s going on in a sia is really none of our
business yeah a lot of um a lot of stuff going on there that is beyond our control we have a lot
more control over things happening in yitzira all right so let’s talk about um blood in ritual or
in your temple space or in your ritual space okay i once went to um i i sometimes go to the local
dharma center here in lake worth in south florida to meditate with other people um and a dharma
center is a tibetan buddhist center okay i’m not really a tibetan buddhist but um twice a week they
they’re open to the public and anybody can come hang out with them and meditate and i i really
like to go there after their teacher their primary teacher has visited them and i always thought the
energy charge there was so much stronger after he had visited them but then i noticed something
it’s like they uh were right after he had been there there were live plants all around the buddha
on the altar there and at other times when i would go visit there um most of the plants or all of
them i guess were plastic i thought that was rather rather interesting um and so it seems as
though um the have putting plants on the altar like that and then having them sort of slowly
die because they’re basically just stems snipped flowers put in water you know and those plants
will slowly die and you have to remove them before they turn unsightly um they do exude a certain
kind of i don’t know ectoplasm or something or i don’t know etheric energy or something like that
uh it’s not very much not really but i thought it was it’s kind of amusing because it’s kind
of like um wow this is like necromancy it’s not we’re not using you know human blood or
animal blood but we’re using plants and they are slowly sort of dying and decomposing there right
rating it a little bit of heat a little bit of energy um and this sort of um acts as a catalyst
And it reminds us of that force of manifestation existing in these living substances.
So it’s not that the blood or the nectar or the sap of these plants contains a lot of energy,
but there is some energy there and we can feel it on some level.
and it um it acts as a catalyst so that we can in the imagination conjure more of the same okay
so if we were to use let’s say if you use blood and ritual which i don’t recommend
or semen and ritual or anything like that um sort of like the um the tantric
sorcerers do right um it’s not that these energy that these um materials have a lot of energy in
them okay uh it’s um just to make that clear if you want to if you could say that a single seed
can lead to the production of an entire forest okay but that does not mean that a single seed
has all of the energy necessary to create that forest that would be a mistake to assume that
the energy to create that forest comes from all around and the seed that leads to the production
of that forest is simply a catalyst it’s simply something that gets it started gets it going okay
so these substances that might exist in a temple space they tend to do the same
okay a fire does that okay the use of air to um to facilitate um a sort of catalyst for spiritual
energy okay because remember air and water and fire and all these things are only emblematic
of the um the the pneuma okay that’s blood of the gods the true blood of the gods which exists
as invisible substance okay all we can see are the vibrations of that substance and those
vibrations manifest as fire or water or earth etc etc right or as a planetary energy or something
like that uh and so it yeah it does seem to be possible to have these living substances in the
temple space or fire or incense you know smoke that heat or even to have fragrances okay um yeah
i like to put um plants in the house like um stalks of lavender and just have them they’re
actually dried already but they exude a lot of fragrance and even that fragrance is sort of a
and um spewing forth um the blood of the gods into my house and you could say that’s actually wow
liam is practicing necromancy because basically um he’s using living things and letting them die
in his house to exude energy and sort of create an atmosphere out of that to feed off of it you know
it’s sort of a catalyst and in my imagination it helps me conjure forth more of that energy
okay whatever that is okay but the real talent for doing that involves looking past the vibration
okay so if i’m looking at the ocean i can see all i can really see are the waves right but i look
past that i know that well those waves are not really the ocean something is beneath them something
is waving itself at me right that’s it’s the water itself that is the ocean okay and so if i use
things in rituals those are all like wave patterns that are very interesting and whatnot but i’m
using them to sort of triangulate in on the actual energy that’s coming forth okay so it does mean
that um blood and other fluids like that um or uh various plants like if you have a like if you for
the holidays if you have a christmas tree well i guess that’s why we let this tree slowly die
in our house and we sort of like um are able to use that subtle very slight energy to um to trip
the imagination into um conjuring forth more of that whatever that is the spirit of giving the
spirit of eternal life eternal evergreen energy or something like that right all right uh which
means once you’re aware of this you don’t need blood to do to do uh blood magic you can just
use plants and everything and uh as as of right now it’s still pretty much acceptable to let plants
die in your house slowly die right watch them die and then feed off of that sort of necromantic
energy so i should end this video by talking a little bit about idolatry so in other words if i
put install something in my temple space and say oh it’s like a statue right that is the god wow
that’s idolatry right like i’m worshiping the statue i think it’s really silly to how you know
the the christians came along um you know um after the pagans and they they criticized the
pagans for worshiping um you know rocks and trees and statues uh and and naturally they have a good
point logically it’s like well is the statue going to talk back i mean really come on and they would
claim while i’m looking i’m just looking into a completely unmanifest realm of my invisible god
who’s everywhere okay but the cool thing is is that the statues or the trees or the things that
they are looking to as manifestations of that those offer a soulful connection between the
realm of the god and us much more powerful and the christians came along and said no all that soul
all that all those images or imageries and the idols are all evil right they took away our
connection to that internal realm they got rid of the metaxi okay so all of these images and
scents and smells and vibrations and all these subtle things that we can experience through
you know art and geomancy and things like that um when christianity came along and made all those
things evil okay pretty much um took away the the um the bridge between the divine and uh the
realm of material okay and so when um when a magician uses a pagan idol um he’s not worshiping
the idol of course not we know that right um that idol is a catalyst so the idol or the end or if
he’s using various substances like spring water or um or fire or you know things like that those
are a catalyst for bridging the gap between the spirit level and the material level okay so to
use imageries and sensations and all of these things that is to participate in the level of
the soul and this is why practicing magic is potentially very therapeutic because it heals
the wound of amphitas it reinstalls soul as a medium of manifestation between spirit and matter
and that can be very fulfilling very healing very soothing it makes a true fulfillment possible
okay but it’s also dangerous because if you don’t learn to see past the patterns of vibration
to the actual substance of the universe itself you are then lost and you can truly be an idolater
then as most magicians are unfortunately that’s what initiation means the ability to get past the
veil of the high priestess or to see that the what the veil actually is all right hopefully that was
clear yeah i do these videos and i just some as when i’m done with them i’m left with the sense
that i’ve just confused everything much much more uh so hopefully um that has made things somewhat
clear and so you don’t need to use blood and ritual or semen or just stick to plants okay or
just use incense smoke and you know fire and or or fragrances or things like that they work pretty
well as catalysts for experiencing that pneuma or that inner blood of the gods all right until next
time
