This installment of Prophet Wars puts the old Greek up on the screen phrase by phrase, and Ammon Hillman keeps the focus on a kind of vocabulary modern readers are not given. The prophets see visions, the optasia (ὀπτασία), and the vision is described as happening above the throne. The show keys that throne to the Orphic Vox, where thronos (θρόνος) is read not as a piece of furniture but as the drug, so the hyperthronic vision is one hovering above the drugs. John is the master of that sight, and on the opposite side stands the echidna (ἔχιδνα), whose priesthood rules the invisible.
The text then reaches back to Abraham and Job as examples of the same work. Abraham receives the Lord in his tents and hears the voice that tells him to use his own son, while Job hears an unspoken sound through storm and wind, words the text marks as arrētoi (ἄρρητοι), things that must not be spoken. The show reads this as a katabasis (κατάβασις), the drawing down, and it pulls out the word later rendered covenant. In this telling, diathēkē (διαθήκη) began not as an abstract deal but as the act of depositing oracles and drug recipes inside a temple so the common good could depend on them.
The closing scenes land on Zacharias and Elizabeth. Zacharias burns incense before the angel appears to announce the birth, goes mute, and only speaks again later, which the show presents as the physical toll of the rite rather than a simple miracle. John is introduced as a worker in the divine herbs, the aromata (ἀρώματα), and the text coins a compound that joins the smoke of sacrifice with phōsphoros (φωσφόρος), the light-bringer. Elizabeth is called full of charis (χάρις) and a vessel of the pneuma (πνεῦμα), and the baby in her womb acts the moment he is near, which the episode reads as the same Bacchic response the series has been describing.
