The episode opens on tour dates with the band Junius and on a short interview in which an Israeli soldier says plainly that he is glad Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon are bombed and that killing babies is good. Ammon Hillman treats the clip as the living result of a doctrine, not as one person’s failure, and then points to the biblical book of Daniel. In the Greek text, Daniel is described as a young man, a eunuch, who has already killed a whole priesthood and then asks the king for authority to annihilate the dragon without sword or rod.
The dragon scene carries the central claim. The text says Daniel mixes fat, pitch, and hair into a cake and forces it into the dragon’s mouth, and when the creature eats it, it dies.
